Children develop a deeper awareness of their physical presence and skills through dance. Dance helps children develop self-confidence, but it also plays a critical role in helping them develop emotional resilience and self confidence. Dance’s expressive nature and creativity allow children to explore and process their emotions in a safe and supportive setting.

Through dance, they can learn to celebrate individuality and the fact that everyone has something special to offer.

Additionally, dance gives kids with both physical and intellectual disabilities a way to fully express themselves and take part in the joy of movement. Children with physical or cognitive disabilities can find their own ways of moving through adapted dance programs, liberating themselves from social norms and limitations. Each child receives acceptance, affirmation, and a sense of belonging in the dancing community’s open embrace.
