Kindergym
 
Kindergym is a program designed for boys and girls under 5 years of age that aims to develop the basic fundamentals of gymnastics movement and fitness.
The Gymsports Academy of Movement & Excellence provides a fun and safe environment to educate your child in the development of both gross and fine motor skills.
Kindergym classes run from 45 – 60 minutes on a term based program. Activities are planned around a theme that is carried over into the second week to develop confidence for both parent/carer and child, with the repetition and practice of gymnastics based activities.
We incorporate learning with the use of traditional gymnastics apparatus (Vault, Uneven and High Bars, Beam, Floor, P-Bars, Rings, Pommel) and training gymnastics equipment including wedges, cylinders, trampolines, ladders, planks, A-frames, boxes and other foam shapes. Music and small hand apparatus (bean bags, hoops, ropes, shakers, etc) are incorporated to create a fun and stimulating environment for your son or daughter.
Our qualified, energetic and enthusiastic coaches use their knowledge and skill to instruct, direct and guide gymnasts and parents /carers to learn and participate safely whilst gaining the maximum benefits from the classes.
Your child will climb, swing, roll, balance, leap, hop, jump, skip, build strength, develop fitness, interact with others, improve coordination and body awareness, use listening skills and gain confidence and self esteem. All while having fun!
Active participation from parents/carers provides the opportunity for the quality time to be a shared experience for the child. As the 4 year old becomes more independent the opportunity to participate within the non parent/carer assisted class becomes available.
Timetables and costs are below and a $5.00 trial session is available by booking.
45-60 minute class - $16.00 per session (billed on a term basis) ie. Term 1 - 9 weeks x $16.00 = $144.00
Annual fees* 2013
Gymnastics Victoria Registration (insurance) - $30.00
Academy Administration and Equipment Levy - $10.00 per term
(*if participants are involved in more than one program Annual Fees are only billed once per annum)
